UK Election 2024 Result and What Lies Ahead

The UK election was conducted yesterday, July 4, 2024, when the people of the UK chose their upcoming prime minister for the UK. Last month, UK Prime Minister Raising Saunk announced the sudden general election in the UK, confident that their party would win this election once again, but the result was not expected by their party.

In the UK election 2024 there were two main parties in the race to form their government e.g. Conservative and Labour. There were other parties as well who participated in this election, but the main competition was between the Conservative and Labour parties, and they both were looking to form their governments in this election.

While talking about the UK election 2024 result, you would not be surprised to know that the Labour Party, led by Keir Starmer, won 412 seats, and the percentage of votes won was 33.9%. while the conservative party took only 120 seats, which is quite lower than the labour party. There are other parties as well that participate and get seats, but most importantly, the liberal Democrats get 71 seats, which is quite a higher number as compared to other parties after conservative and labour. We can say that the Labour Party clean-swept the elections with 412 seats, and they can easily form the government in the UK independently. It was expected that the Labour Party would win the 2024 elections because people in the UK were not happy with the current regime and their prime minister, Rishi Sunak.

Surprisedly, in our last new story about the upcoming UK election, which we published after UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s sudden announcement of the 2024 election, we analyzed in our news story that it would be hard for Rishi Sunak and Conservatives to win this election. There will be great chances for the Labour Party to win this election and form their government in 2024, and our analysis was based on the situation that is going on in the UK.

Life in the UK is not as it was in the past few decades. There are many factors that we considered as reasons why the current UK regime did not get the desired results in this election. Inflation and the cost of living in the UK are the key reasons that changed people’s views of the current regime. Apart from that, we should not ignore other policies of the Rishi Sunak government.

Here the question is: What lies ahead? Even though the Labour Party won this election with a clear majority, they will form the government in the UK, but they will face, of course, many challenges that they need to tackle, particularly the claim that they made during their election campaign.

The people in the UK are seriously worried about recent years’ inflation and the cost of living since the quality of life is not the same as it was in the past. The upcoming government needs to take some steps to address these issues as the people of the UK give them this mandate to run the country. It will be a great challenge for the Labor Party and its leader to deal with these challenges.

We hope that this democratic system in the UK that was followed by other countries in the world will work for the betterment of the people living in the UK, and their future policies will actually be fruitful for the citizens of the UK.
