Paris 2024 Olympic Results and Medals: USA Tops the Leaderboard

Paris Olympics 2024 are already finished, where every country participates, and some of them win gold, while others win silver, and some of them at least take bronze. We can say that the Olympics is a great event in the world because they let almost every country around the world come together on one stage and show their skills in various sports games.

While talking about the top countries that took more models, we would not be surprised to know that the United States of America is at the top, just like before. The United States took 40 gold medals, 44 silver medals, and 42 bronze medals, which are 126 in total.

The People’s Republic of China took the second position by taking 40 gold medals, 27 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals; in total, they got 91 medals in the Olympics 2024. Japan, which was the host of the previous Olympics, took third place to win the highest medal in the Paris Olympics 2024 with 20 golds, 12 silvers, and 13 bronzes, and the total number of medals was 45.

France, the host of the Paris Olympics 2024, took the 5th position by taking 16 gold medals, 26 silver medals, and 22 bronze medals, and in total, they took 64 medals in this tournament, while Nattherland and Great Britain took 6th and 7th, respectively. Although France took 64 gold medals, which is more than Japan, when we see the numbers in gold medals, they are less than Japan.

The United States of America is always at the top of the list with the highest number of medals in this tournament, and if we see the difference between the United States and China, then this difference is very high; e.g., China took 35 fewer medals than the US in the Paris Olympics, which seems to be a higher difference. So we can say that the United States kept its position higher in the Paris Olympics 2024, just like they were at the top in the past Olympics.

It would be more interesting to see that China will dominate the US in the future Olympics, which will be in 2026, because China is gaining momentum. Although the difference between the US and China in terms of getting overall medals is 35, we can agree that China is giving a fair challenge to the US, and if they continue their performance in the future Olympics, then they will take over the United States in the future.

Let’s see and wait for the next Olympics, 2026. As of now, the United States is at the top of the list for taking the highest number of medals at the Paris Olympics in 2024. Competition in sports always seems interesting and positive, but we must accept that the Olympics let countries not just show their talents but also allow athletes from different cultures and backgrounds across the world to come together and learn about each other’s cultures to support diversity and inclusion.
